In the late 1980s, comedian Bob Saget became a household proper name on the sitcom "Full Firm" playing Danny Tanner, an earnest widowed male parent of three. In his 2022 memoir "Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles of a Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian," he wrote of his frustration at existence typecast and asked mentor Dangerfield for advice.
"I told him I was sick of only doing 'family unit stuff' and wanted to move into edgier comedy but I was concerned it was besides belatedly because people have a way of branding you with what they perceive you to exist," he wrote.

"I know he was 65, just he just seemed and then young," said Ellin.
And though he shed much of his Danny Tanner-isms, he reprised his role in the 2022 Netflix reboot, "Fuller House."
And by all accounts, he was devoted to both his television receiver and real-life daughters.
"He had a very good relationship with his daughters," said Gottfried, adding that he was likewise protective of the Olsen twins.
Television author Alan Zweibel offset met Saget in 1986 while working on "Information technology'due south Garry Shandling's Bear witness," noting he was "very sensitive" and "ended every chat with 'I love you.' "
